OUR CAMP DIRECTOR

Phil is excited to begin his second year at the helm of Kadimah as the camp’s Executive Director.  Phil was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia and began attending Kadimah as a Gibbie in 1973. He spent eight years as a camper, after which he attended Biluim Canada and Biluim Israel. He was on staff for 6 summers during university and, among other roles, held the positions of Section Head, Rosh Machar and Assistant Director.

Phil received his MBA from Dalhousie University and then made his way to Toronto, spending 25 years in the corporate sector working for such companies such as Wrigley’s, Mars, Swiss Chalet and Toronto Pearson.  Phil is a sports enthusiast with a love for hockey, particularly coaching, which he has proudly done for 20 years all the way from Select to AAA, Junior A and professionally overseas.  His most rewarding experience was coaching the Under 18 Israeli national hockey team and listening to Hatikvah play at the Canada Center in Metulla (before getting whooped by Team Canada!).

Phil currently resides in Toronto and is overjoyed to spend his summers in his second home in Barss Corner. He looks forward to continuing to connect with the vast network of Kadimah alumni while helping to create memorable summers for our campers and staff on Lake William. Phil can be reached by email at phil@campkadimah.com.
